IOTC Passed the Annual ISO 9001:2015 Audit
PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS. Last February 16, 2022, Bureau Veritas conducted its yearly surveillance audit at Island Overseas Transport Corporation (IOTC) via Zoom. This was the second time the said activity was done virtually, the last time was in 2021, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The result was highly favorable. The company was given a passing rating, with no major non-compliances or minor non-compliances found. Some observations were pinpointed that need to be addressed for further improvement.
IOTC’s Quality Management Representative, Mr. Jestoni S. Losabia coordinated the meeting session with two auditors from Bureau Veritas who facilitated the conduct of audit. All IOTC managers and department heads attended the external audit together with company president, Mr. Lorenzo Gabriel Z. Araneta and with no less than the chairman, Capt. Emmanuel L. Regio.
The company was issued a positive rating, signifying the company’s top-notch standards of a quality management system. Eastgate Maritime Training Center Inc. (EMTCI), the company’s affiliated training center, was also audited and remarkably passed, which completed the three-day audit of Bureau Veritas.
