Island Overseas Transport Corporation (IOTC) is a Philippine-registered company, engages in ship manning business and seafarer deployment. With its headquarters located in EDSA-Mandaluyong City, IOTC provides hundreds of seafarers with sustainable employment.
As such, it has positioned itself as a notable industry stakeholder and a key contributor to the Philippine economy since the establishment of the organization since 1987.
For 35 years, IOTC has established its corporate name within the NYK Group by providing competent Filipino officers and crew through its subsidiary Hachiuma Steamship Co., Ltd. Presently, it has fifty (50) total-manned vessels with full Filipino complement
IOTC is a member of the Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council Inc.(PJMCC), which comprises sixty-eight (68) manning agents with ships owned
and controlled by Japanese companies who share the common goal of advancing the quality of Filipino seafarers.
IOTC is also part of the oldest and biggest manning association in the Philippines, the FAME (Filipino Association for Mariners' Employment, Inc.) in which IOTC Chairman Capt. Emmanuel L. Regio was a former president. Currently, Capt. Regio serves as one of the members of Board of Trustees of OWWA or the Overseas Worker Welfare Administration.
